How many of us use photo filters when posting on social media? Whether it’s minor tweaks like VSCO or Snapseed, or major ones like BeautyCam or Meitu – we’re all guilty of a little retouching here and there.
Last week, Revlon launched their new PhotoReady Insta-Filter Foundation – promising to be a photo filter in a bottle. The bottle has a unique anti-microbial applicator that’s curved to fit the contours of your face, and it’s literally shake, twist and blend. That’s how easy it is to apply (don’t shake with the cap off, it’s a mess guaranteed to happen #truestory). That being said, the formula promises a fresh-faced finish natural finish with all-day wear. The innovation behind it is that the formula works with your skin type and texture to smooth skin, while HD filter tech blurs and softens imperfections in order to look flawless in any light, from any angle.
The medium coverage foundation is buildable and comes in 5 different shades, promising to fit a variety of Asian skin tones. The product is small enough to fit in your makeup bag, and since it comes with a built-in sponge – there’s no need to pack a separate applicator for touch ups.
I received shade 200 Nude which is a touch too light for me, but it wore well throughout the day – staying put on my combination-oily skin without need for touch ups. It photographed well, and at the event – I had the chance to become a model for the Revlon makeup artists. Look at all the makeup we got to play with!
Other products in the lineup include the PhotoReady Prep Set Refresh Mist – a prep and setting spray that smelled very refreshing, and the PhotoReady Colour Correcting Pens that came in three different colours for all your different concerns.
The foundation hits all leading pharmacies this month, and retails for RM89.90 – would you give up your photo editing apps and go for this?
