Everyone has a happy place, right? I know mine. I go there when I’m sad and I’m bound to spend money, but it makes me happy to go and look at pretty things, or spend time in places where there are people who I like, know and just work. Here’s my 3 happy places:
I couldn’t start a list without my favourite stationery shop. Whether it’s the three cats or the endless amounts of cute things and journal accessories, I can’t seem to walk out of there without buying something. Washi tape, stickers or various ephemera (I recently got into rubber stamps and fountain pens, it’s been a problem) – I’ll always find something. It’s quiet, or bustling with other artists and quite soothing.
I’m a girl, what can I say? Makeup makes me a happy girl, and I love glamming up. Speaking of which, I’ll be glamming up today for something special so keep an eye out for me.
I can’t tell you how basic I am, but a friend said if I cut myself, iced caramel macchiato would come out. I’m mildly offended. But I always run back to HQ when I want to see my friends, or want to work. The fact that they have my favourite type of coffee just helps. My other default is Artisan HQ but that depends on my mood (iced dolce mocha, please).
So, where’s your happy place?
UPDATE: A new place has made it on the list and that would be Lit Books. For more info as to why I love this place (and its fantastic coffee), check out the link above.
