bye 2017, hello 2018

fashion mental health personal social media user manual

Honestly, I’m a little relieved to say bye to 2017.

Not to say it was terrible. It was rough, and good things happened. Kyle, for example. He’s wonderful (and exhausting, let’s be real here. I dread the day he starts crawling) but it’s been a series of life changes. Accelerated adulting, learning to cohabit with my sister after 7 years of not living with her and marking a year that I’ve been working a full time job. I’m not where I thought I’d be, but I’m happy. If tired. And stressed.

That being said, I’ve started two new projects and they’re a) this site, and b) the mental health zine. For more information on the mental health zine, you can click the USER MANUAL link in the menu. You can also track any ongoing progress via my social media pages – Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.

Considering that I don’t really wear colour, and I need to be able to run around – I’ve decided that this month’s theme is monochrome. Whether you’re looking at neutrals or just black and white, that’ll be the combination I wear.

  • Shirt: Hand-me-down from Mom
  • Culottes: Nichii
  • Shoes: Nike Air Zoom Mariah Flyknit Racer

You can track what I’m wearing via the hashtag #hannahcyanidewears

At the time of writing, I’ve got a psychiatrist appointment coming up and that’ll be interesting. A lot of things have happened since the last time I saw my therapist. In the last year, I’ve gone off meds, gone back on meds, changed my dosage, had to check for contraindications multiple times – the list goes on. I’ve fallen out of love, fallen in love, gained new additions to my support system and family, lost people. It’s been a roller coaster of a year.

I can only hope that 2018 will be kind to me.
